The Jaulian Project
The Jaulian Project is a flagship initiative dedicated to cultivating communities of purpose-driven leaders across South Asia. In partnership with the Academy for Systems Change, this program equips changemakers to address some of the region’s most pressing challenges through systems thinking, heritage-inspired leadership, and collective action.
Leveraging a global network of advisors, mentors, and leadership experts, the Jaulian Project helps participants:
- Reconnect with the richness of their cultural heritage
- Build deep, cross-sectoral relationships
- Design and lead sustainable, locally rooted change initiatives
From grassroots movements to policy influence, the Jaulian Project is fostering a generation of leaders committed to transformation — from the inside out. YOUNG PROFESSIONALS (YPRO)
The Young Professionals (YPRO) Bootcamp is Ascend Consulting’s flagship program for early-career leaders, designed to accelerate personal and professional growth. Built on more than a decade of experience in developing emerging leaders, YPRO provides a powerful four-day immersive journey where young professionals reconnect with their core, test their limits, and unlock their true potential. Participants leave with clarity of purpose, resilience, and the confidence to drive impact in their organizations and communities.
Key initiatives under the aegis of YPRO include:
- Emerging Leaders Bootcamp: A high-energy, adrenaline-fueled experience designed for young leaders with 0–5 years of work experience. Through outdoor adventure, facilitation, and reflective practice, participants cultivate courage, collaboration, and creative problem-solving
- Four-Day Leadership Journey: A transformative experience that takes young professionals from building self-awareness and shared purpose, to exploring their inner foundations, crafting authentic personal narratives, and connecting these insights to the wider world.The journey blends reflection, peer coaching, storytelling, and wilderness-based activities to prepare participants for meaningful leadership and impact.
- Experiential Learning Design: The program weaves together co-initiating, co-sensing, presencing, co-creating, and co-evolving—encouraging participants to observe deeply, prototype new possibilities, and embody leadership in real contexts.
- Community of Practice: Graduates join a growing network of YPRO alumni, forming a vibrant leadership community that continues to exchange knowledge, mentor new cohorts, and co-create initiatives for change.

RESILIENT WOMEN COLLECTIVE
The Resilient Women Collective (RWC) is an incubated initiative of The Jaulian Project, supported by Ascend Consulting. It is a movement designed to empower Pakistani women by creating safe spaces where they can connect, share stories, and reclaim their voices. Rooted in empathy, self- awareness, and human connection, RWC helps women break societal and mental barriers, enabling them to lead with confidence and purpose. Beyond being a program, RWC is a Force for Good - fostering a culture where empowered women lift others and create lasting change.
Key initiatives under the aegis of RWC include:
- Leadership Journey & Collective Space: The entry point into RWC is a nine-month journey where participants engage in leadership talks,workshops, and peer discussions. This safe, inclusive space builds trust, confidence, and emotional resilience while fostering collective strength.
- The Wilderness Trail: A four-day immersive outdoor program designed to push women beyond their comfort zones through adventure-based learning such as trekking, rafting, and rappelling. These experiences encourage courage, teamwork, and reflection whilebuilding leadership capacity and resilience
- Personalized Mentorship & Coaching: Through one-on-one mentorship with local industry experts and global reflective practice circles, participants receive tailored guidance on real-world challenges such as conflict resolution, decision-making, and balancing personal and professional growth
- Digital Resilient Space: An ongoing online platform that extends learning beyond physical programs. This digital community enables reflective practice, structured learning, and peer collaboration throughout the year, ensuring that the RWC spirit continues well past in-person gatherings.

This is Us
This is Us is a youth-led social enterprise incubated by The Jaulian Project, co-founded by sisters Tia and Dina Aftab.Their mission is to foster a community of confident, empathetic young girls who support each other, share ambitions, and envision a future with equal opportunities in education, healthcare, and the workplace. Key initiatives under the aegis of This is Us include:
- DISCOVER Program: A mentorship initiative connecting young female leaders (ages 18–22) with scholars (ages 8–18). Through guided leadership development, participants engage in inner work to build self-awareness and leadership skills.
- Project Reclaim: Launched in 2019, this project empowers girls to reclaim public spaces through organized walks, runs, and self-defense workshops in Karachi, promoting confidence and safety in public areas.
- Girls for Climate Justice: A program designed for girls in Hunza and Karachi, featuring community-building workshops, climate justice education, and group projects to empower participants in the climate justice space.
